Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of the new season follow below.
The Warrior Group Introduced
The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of heroes who will split off from the main group to embark on their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.
This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.
That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might appear mismatched, but the events of the latest installment show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the team knows exactly where to head next after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise started the story’s plot—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.
The traitor then paid off his liabilities and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each adventurer has a individual motive to exit the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants retribution.
- The adventurer knows the northern area and advises that it is a hostile place.
- The warrior and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the team enter areas they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control the setting for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This results in them no alternative but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.
Upcoming Developments
