I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
